Fishing at Lake Selmac

This was our second year going fishing at Lake Selmac at Selma, OR. We had so much fun! We went out earlier this year so it was a bit chilly.

I will miss the ease of taking Makenzie around in the car seat! I fear what next year will be like...

 

She's Moving!!!

Makenzie started getting on all four's about two weeks ago. Right before Memorial Day weekend. It was  so cute watching her get up on her knees and rock back and forth. About five days ago, Makenzie started figuring out that she can lunge herself forward once she is in the crawling position. She also figured out how to do the army crawl. She is able to move around quite well. She moves in a circle, rolls and scoots around. It is so fun to watch her get around. She is also great at going from a sitting position into a crawling position.

About a week ago, Makenzie started sucking on my little finger quite well. I figured I would give the pacifier another try. She has been unable to suck it since we brought her home from the hospital. Crazy enough she took right to the pacifier and sucked it for quite a while. Jaron and I were shocked. Lilian was excited, Connor wanted to take it right out of her mouth. She takes it now at night time. When I get her in the mornings, she will be sucking on it. She does great at putting it in her mouth all by herself. I am glad she takes one. It is always nice to put something in there mouth when they need comforting. It is just a pain to break them from it. Connor turned into a monster when we took his away...

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Last week I asked Connor what he wanted to be when he grows up. He said a "firefighter!!" I said, "well what do firefighters do?" He said, "make fires!!"   I responded, "Oh Connor, they put out fires."  "O, well I want to be a model then." "Well Connor, what do models do?" "I don't know, tell me!" I love our little conversations. So cute!

Home Depot

Today I took the kids to Home Depot to make a craft. Today the kids made a wooden organizer. It was so much fun. The kids glued and hammered pieces of wood together and then they were able to paint it. We went last month and made a planter box. I enjoy taking the kids and letting them do something fun that is also easy on our wallets! After wards we went to Walmart to pick up a few things that I had coupons for. Once again, I realized how much I strongly dislike this store. They never have anything in stock, I can never find anything, the store associates are no help, the checkers are so NOT coupon friendly, the lines are always so long, prices are high... need I go on?? Every time I go, I wonder why I even went, waste of time! Jaron is busy working today. He stayed home with Makenzie today though. It was so nice to get a little break. He had to change two massive blowouts which involved two baths. He also fed her lunch. He also let me sleep in this morning!! What a day!! Last night Jaron went out to see The Avengers 3D. It was SO cool. It was nice to get out on a date night.

Antibiotics

Connor and Makenzie are both on antibiotics. The Thursday we were leaving for Boise, Connor started complaining that something was in his ear. Not long after, he started screaming and continued to scream for 2 hours. Jaron looked in his ears and confirmed an ear infection. We took him to the doctor, the doctor then checked Makenzie out who was still cranky and had just finished her round of antibiotics from a previous ear infection. Well the amoxicillion did not take care of it. So now she is on her second round of antibiotics. Two kids with ear infections, NOT fun!!! ... My blessing that day was a good friend who took Lilian for me and watched her all afternoon while I ran the other two around and then packed for our trip to Boise. Thanks Kristi!

Gilbert Creek Park

Today was such a busy day. It started out taking Lilian to dance class at 9:30am. Lilian loves it! I stay with the kids for the hour dance class. Luckily they both did great today. Usually Connor is bored out of his mind. When we got home, I proceeded to wash every ones bedding (really needed to be done!) and two loads of laundry. Vacuum house, make lunch and clean the kitchen. Nurse Makenzie, and spoon feed her. Lets just say I had no time to myself and the poor kids had to help me with chores around the house. We had a lot to catch up on. Finally though, after Makenzie's afternoon nap, we took a bike ride, (I pushed Makenzie in the stroller) to Gilbert Creek Park. The kids did so great! They listened, stayed by me and had no big falls! The weather was beautiful. I sat in the shade with Makenzie. She loved it! She kept climbing over my legs to grab the snacks we brought. The kids enjoyed playing with another little 8yr old girl that happened to also be at the park. I enjoyed reading the Ensign while the kids played.  

Aunt Rebecca found a way to get Connor to smile for the camera. Just tell him to laugh! Works every time. Thanks!

My Seven month beautiful baby!! She is so fun!





Makenzie sits up so well! She is ready to crawl. She gets up on all fours and rocks. Today she went forward once, but then she scooted backwards. She moves backwards great.

Lilian went across all by herself. She was so proud of herself.

 

 

Ever since birth, Makenzie has sucked on her top lip. It is the cutest thing ever! These are pictures of her sucking her top lip.

 

Boise Road Trip

We are crazy! We left our home at 6:30pm Thursday night to drive to Boise, Idaho. It actually went great. The kids fell asleep by 8:30 and slept the entire way. It was wonderful! Usually I hear whining the whole time. "I'm hungry, thirsty, when are we going to get there, etc.. " So it was so nice to drive with quiet. Jaron drove until about 12am. I drove until about 2:30am. Jaron drove us to his parents and pulled in around 5am.
This was the view as we left Grants Pass,OR. We love the bbeautiful rainbows in Oregon.

We took out the middle row of seats and made a bed with foam pads and pillows and blankets. It was so comfy!

Our trip was wonderful. We enjoyed visiting with Jaron's parents and siblings. We were able to see our niece Eden be blessed at church on Sunday. We left Sunday night at 8:30pm and drove all night again. Pulled into Grants Pass around 5:30am. Jaron was exhausted. We slept our Memorial Day away. The kids are really missing their cousins. Hopefully we will see them again soon. Sorry for the lack of pictures, the whole trip I only took these few in the car.
