Antibiotics
Connor and Makenzie are both on antibiotics. The Thursday we were leaving for Boise, Connor started complaining that something was in his ear. Not long after, he started screaming and continued to scream for 2 hours. Jaron looked in his ears and confirmed an ear infection. We took him to the doctor, the doctor then checked Makenzie out who was still cranky and had just finished her round of antibiotics from a previous ear infection. Well the amoxicillion did not take care of it. So now she is on her second round of antibiotics. Two kids with ear infections, NOT fun!!! ... My blessing that day was a good friend who took Lilian for me and watched her all afternoon while I ran the other two around and then packed for our trip to Boise. Thanks Kristi!
Gilbert Creek Park
Today was such a busy day. It started out taking Lilian to dance class at 9:30am. Lilian loves it! I stay with the kids for the hour dance class. Luckily they both did great today. Usually Connor is bored out of his mind. When we got home, I proceeded to wash every ones bedding (really needed to be done!) and two loads of laundry. Vacuum house, make lunch and clean the kitchen. Nurse Makenzie, and spoon feed her. Lets just say I had no time to myself and the poor kids had to help me with chores around the house. We had a lot to catch up on. Finally though, after Makenzie's afternoon nap, we took a bike ride, (I pushed Makenzie in the stroller) to Gilbert Creek Park. The kids did so great! They listened, stayed by me and had no big falls! The weather was beautiful. I sat in the shade with Makenzie. She loved it! She kept climbing over my legs to grab the snacks we brought. The kids enjoyed playing with another little 8yr old girl that happened to also be at the park. I enjoyed reading the Ensign while the kids played.
Aunt Rebecca found a way to get Connor to smile for the camera. Just tell him to laugh! Works every time. Thanks!
My Seven month beautiful baby!! She is so fun!
Makenzie sits up so well! She is ready to crawl. She gets up on all fours and rocks. Today she went forward once, but then she scooted backwards. She moves backwards great.
Boise Road Trip
We are crazy! We left our home at 6:30pm Thursday night to drive to Boise, Idaho. It actually went great. The kids fell asleep by 8:30 and slept the entire way. It was wonderful! Usually I hear whining the whole time. "I'm hungry, thirsty, when are we going to get there, etc.. " So it was so nice to drive with quiet. Jaron drove until about 12am. I drove until about 2:30am. Jaron drove us to his parents and pulled in around 5am.
This was the view as we left Grants Pass,OR. We love the bbeautiful rainbows in Oregon.

We took out the middle row of seats and made a bed with foam pads and pillows and blankets. It was so comfy!
Our trip was wonderful. We enjoyed visiting with Jaron's parents and siblings. We were able to see our niece Eden be blessed at church on Sunday. We left Sunday night at 8:30pm and drove all night again. Pulled into Grants Pass around 5:30am. Jaron was exhausted. We slept our Memorial Day away. The kids are really missing their cousins. Hopefully we will see them again soon. Sorry for the lack of pictures, the whole trip I only took these few in the car.

Eating Toes
Exhausted
Almost 2 weeks ago, Lilian graduated from Head Start. So for almost 2 weeks I have had three very needy kids at home all day long... About a week into summer break I almost lost it. Makenzie had a temperature of 102.8, so she was extremely miserable, day and night. Lilian LOVES to do arts and crafts and create. Which is great, however, when she is done, my house looks all upside down. She is great at cleaning up when threatened , but awful at picking up her messes as she makes them. So on top of everyday chores; such as: laundry, dishwasher, meals, etc.. there is constantly paper clipping on the ground, crayons and markers everywhere, toy cars spread out, dress ups out, you name it, it needs to be put away. Connor is great at entertaining himself. He is also very smart and funny. But he is also great at whining, peeing all over the bathroom floor, and waking up at 5am. So put my three wonderful children together and you get a very EXHAUSTED mommy! I was so done one night. Jaron was at scouts, and was gone helping a friend move the night before. I felt like an awful mommy. For the first time after having Makenzie, I felt depressed. I wanted to get out of this funk, but for the moment, I just needed to go to sleep and be left alone. The day that followed was better. I spoke with a great friend who I confide in and who is an excellent listener. My visiting teacher also came over and shared some wonderful advice with me. I told her that Heavenly Father knew I needed her to watch over me. She is so good at listening and has great advice. When she left my home, I felt renewed and ready to face being a mommy again. I knew the day to day trials would not change, but my attitude had changed. Instead of "hammering granite to make money, I was building the house of the Lord"(analogy from a YW lesson I taught). I tried hard to not stress about having a perfect home, but enjoy spending time with my children. They really will not remember our clean house, but they will remember how they were treated. I know I will have hard days. But hopefully I wont have two hard days. I need to find the balance of spending time with the kids, but also time for myself, with my husband, with my Heavenly Father and for my Home. I am learning that it is OK to say no to my kids when they bug for me to do something when it is not the right time. So here I am, Exhausted, but in good spirits and loving the time I have with my family.

Lilian Graduates from Head Start
Lilian graduated from Head Start this week. Lilian attended Head Start this past year every Tuesday thru Friday from 12-4. She got on the bus at 11:15 daily and got off the bus at 4:20 daily. Some days were very long and tiring for her. But most days she just LOVED it! She grew so much this past year. Lilian knows her letters and their sounds, she can count and write her first and last name. Lilian loves learning and creating. She loves to work on projects using her imagination. Her favorite thing to do is make books. I am so proud of Lilian. She is sad to leave Teacher Carly, who she just adored. We are hoping that she gets a wonderful teacher for Kindergarten.

More Happenings at the Sorens
Jaron had the wonderful opportunity to go to San Diego, CA for a Metagenics Seminar from 4/18/12-4/22/12. He did a little sight seeing in between his classes. He was able to enjoy the San Diego Temple for me. It has been my dream to go there and see this beautiful Temple. Someday. Jaron learned so much information. He missed his family though and was excited to come home.
I turned 27 on 4/9/12. I enjoyed the day with my kids! My friend Heather Shannon and Erica Johnston took me and my kids out to lunch. We enjoyed yummy food and company. My mom and dad sent me flowers to brighten my day!! I received many letters and a special package from Gayle. She sent the kids love and some yellow socks for me!! Jaron let me go shopping a few days before by myself. What a treat! Well I took Lilian, but she had a lot of fun. I found two sweaters for $4 each and a cute pair of pants for $7. What a deal! Do you spy my other present in the back of the picture? Jaron upgraded my kitchen aid for me. I LOVE it!
The Easter Bunny Came to our home. The kids loved it. Our friend Suzie and her husband came to surprise the kids. It was really neat.. Lily put two and two together this year and asked if the easter bunny was real. We were honest with her and told her the truth. She said thanks for telling me the truth!! Our little girl is growing up too fast!
