Our new addition!

We have been wanting to get something for the backyard. With everyone's birthday's coming up, I was hoping to get something to celebrate. On Tuesday afternoon I saw this Rainbow Swing Set for only $150!! I was so excited! It needs the rope replaced, a swing replaced and refinished. But over all the wood is in great shape.

It took Jaron and his dad 2.5 hours to take it apart and bring it home Friday night. Then it took us about 3hours to put it together and tighten all the bolts Saturday morning.

We are so excited for our new addition! The kids have been out all afternoon playing!

I think Jaron and I have a monkey on our hands! Makenzie is only 11 months and she has to climb up everything!

She is looking out the window trying to talk to Connor and Lilian outside. She is a jabber box lately!

Labor Day Hike-Jump Creek

For Labor day weekend 2012 we enjoyed the morning by doing some chores around the house! We really needed to mow the lawn, wash the cars, etc.. So after lunch, we headed out for a fun family hike.
Jaron found a great hike trail called Jump Creek.

It was perfect for our family.

We told the kids we were going on a "bear hunt" when we saw this cave! The kids were excited to hike to the top of it! Luckily, no bears!

We came to a nice waterfall. The water was really cold though. That did not stop Jaron though. He took Connor all the way out.

Balloons in Boise

On Saturday September 1, 2012 we had the opportunity to wake up at 5:30am to be at Morrison Park in Boise, ID for Balloons in Boise. It was spectacular. The kids really loved it! Close to 38 Balloons made it up in the sky.

We made sure we were there early to watch the balloons inflate. Grandma and Grandpa Soren made it there to enjoy it with us.

We even were able to enjoy the blue moon.

Amazing Sunrise to enjoy!!

The kids were really excited to see Mickey Mouse.

This was my favorite part! What a sight!

Jaron and I enjoyed the afternoon out with just Makenzie. Jaron's parents watched the older two while we went shopping. We went out specifically for a lawn mower since the $50 one off craigslist turned out to be a lemon. However, after we bought a new one, Jaron's dad and him worked on the old one and were able to get it running again! So back to the store Jaron went to return the new one. We are hoping the "lemon" makes it through the rest of this year!

First child off to Kindergarten!

Lilian was able to go meet her teacher the Friday before school started on August 24. Her teacher is Mrs. Hally. She is seems very sweet. Lilian loved that she had blond hair like her!

Here is Lilian the first day of school. Grandma Doyle bought three new outfits for Lilian to wear the first few days of school. Lilian's favorite was this Hello Kitty dress.

Lilian had a great first day! Her schedule this year is Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday.

Daddy dropped Lilian off the first two days of school and Mommy picked her up at school.

Here is her outfit for day #2!!
