Christmas Tree 2010

The views were breath taking at the top of the mountains!

Daddy in charge of Connor and the saw!

Our princess Lilian! She is beautiful.

The kids are best friends!

This picture makes me laugh! This is the tree I liked, Jaron measures it to see if it is too big. I guess it was just a little to big ;)

We almost gave up finding a tree. Jaron was determined! He hiked down the mountain side by himself. 15 minutes later, this is what he brought back! Daddy saves the day!

My angels in front of our very big Christmas Tree!
This year we went up to the mountains to cut down our own tree. The tree tag was $5. We were excited to save money and get an awesome tree! Well... I think we spent more in gas then a tree would of cost at the store. We left our house around 8:45 and got home at 1:45!! And almost drove off the mountain side twice! We were not prepared for the unpaved roads up in the mountains. However, it was a fun experience and Jaron cut down an awesome tree! What do you think!?

Lindsey Continues to Coupon

This was an awesome shopping trip at Albertsons. The total was around $30! I also received 2 $12 move tickets with $10 concession cash!

All of this I bought at Rite Aid Total:FREE!!
My hobby continues!  The hardest part of our big move was finding my new groove for couponing. At first it was hard to find my coupons. I rarely paid for the paper in New York, so the thought of paying 2.50 for one newspaper was ridiculous to me. I was also overwhelmed with all of the different deals to be had at multiple stores. But with faith and persistence, I got back into my couponing groove. I even met some good friends who love couponing as well! My weeks are filled with snagging great deals at: Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Albertsons, Safeway and Walmart! Some weeks I am low key when the deals are lame. The kids enjoy it most of the time. They are so cute. They love coupons just as much as I do! Jaron is also very supportive of my talent! He even went out last night to get some freebies! I love our savvy way of life!

Family Picture Fall 2010

We took our family picture at the All Sports Park here in Grants Pass. Lily and Connor are growing up too fast! This Fall Lily turned 4, Connor turned 2 and Jaron turned 28.

Our New Home!

We are so excited for our new home in Grants Pass, OR. We love the beauty and weather! I am so grateful everyday for the beauty all around. Our home is so nice! We were so blessed to have friends within the church to help us find this great house to rent. We live right down the street from the Elementary School. It is really nice to take walks there with the kids. Lily misses New York very much. She talks often about her friends and family there. Over all, we are adjusting to all of the change. Lily and Connor enjoy reading to the dogs at the Library on Wednesday afternoons. They also both enjoy craft time at the YMCA on Thursday mornings. Jaron loves his Job! We feel so blessed that he found a great opportunity. His practice is growing each week! We are proud of our Doctor!

We're Moving!!!!

This summer was filled with questions of what comes next. With Jaron's graduation right around the corner, we were anxious to find out what was the next step for us. July we drove out for a few interviews. We had 2 promising job offers to think about. August Jaron flew out for an additional, last minute interview in Grants Pass, OR. It was a quick trip, but long enough for Jaron to know what he wanted. We decided to take the job in Grants Pass, OR. We are very excited about the new adventure that lays ahead of us. We move Oct. 12!! We Feel blessed about this wonderful opportunity.

New Furniture for the kids!

Before Picture!
One of the HOT days outside working!
Finished! This is the head board.

This is the foot board, Lily calls it her Princess bed!
Daddy putting up the loft bed.
Connor excited for his new bed!
This is what both dressers look like! They are Awesome. I am happy with them!
We bought this same dresser off Craigslist a few months back for $40 from someone in Syracuse. It was just as beat up looking before we re-finished it. We then put it in Connor's room to replace the changing table that Connor no longer needed. It looks great!! Jaron did an awesome job! A few months later, Lily is in need of a bigger dresser. The small 3-drawer one she had no longer did the job. At the same time, Lily started bugging for a big bed like Cousin Cian's. Cian has a loft bed and Lily wanted one just like his. So we began looking for some sort of a bunk bed for her on Craigslist. After a few weeks of looking Jaron fournd a little post about a bunk bed and dresser for sale with no price or picture. The location was super close which really interested us! Most times we have to travel about 1 hour to get anything off Craigslist. So to our surprise, This was the dresser with a matching loft bed! Each was only $10!!!! So for $20 we got the matching dresser with the matching loft bed. But the hard part was re-finishing! Boy I never knew how labor intensive it is to re-finish wood. Jaron and I had a fun time doing it together. We are just not doing it again any time soon! So after a few weeks of working hard, we finally had our house put back together. Lily has one of the beautiful dressers with a twin bed frame that we got as a hand down. Jaron also refinished this piece making it beautiful! And Connor has the other matching dresser with the loft bed. Connor learned how to climb out of his crib during our trip out west : ( Connor is just on the floor though. We will wait a while before putting a mattress on top. The kids are still a little too young. What do you think of our finished project?
